The newest newest newest piece is called SIX NIGHTS IN IGNAZ GUNTHER HAUS / SECHS NÄCHTE IM IGNAZ GÜNTHER HAUS. (Read more about it here.) I wrote and conceived the piece while living in Ignaz Gunther Haus in Munich back in November 2012, and then Alexx Shilling and Arthur Kell and I began developing the piece as a Fieldshift Further performance work in Bed Stuy in December. I’ve been making the film here in the night garden at the candle factory in Munich…
SIX NIGHTS is curious about desire, erotics, ecology and taboo surrounding the Jewish female body in Germany. It’s sort of my first time body-performing in one of my own works. In that I perform being embodied as myself. Which is surprisingly challenging. And thrilling.
