So I’m quite thrilled about this upcoming concert at Boston Court Performing Arts Center in Pasadena, where my video installation will appear as part of a collaboration between several artists and arts institutions, including Catalysis Projects and People Inside Electronics. Of course I’m biased, but it’s a lovely wee multidisciplinary hijinx of a night in Los Angeles: writers, visual artists, composers, musicians, actors…
This latest video piece was created in collaboration with composer Veronika Krausas for her deliciously peculiar musical piece WATERLAND, writer Andre Alexis, and actor John Payne. It’s been one of my favorite projects thus far, in part because of the alchemy that happens when so many creative visions work in close complement to one another.
Three previous video installations of mine (all collaborations with Veronika Krausas) have been collected and released on DVD by CATALYSIS PROJECTS (formerly Deborah Martin Gallery). They can be acquired here in a collection entitled Three Curio Films by Quintan Ana Wikswo.
