January 20, 2010
For the past month, the blog – like any good egg – has been experiencing a cozy winter’s incubation while I’ve been feathering the new nest – moving my art studio from “the cottage” in Culver City to a wee aerie above downtown LA’s gallery row area.
The hammering and nailing and cleaning and drywalling and putting things into boxes and taking things out of boxes and bringing in things that don’t fit and finding things that do fit and a lot of scurrying around with lightbulbs of various permutations…all that happy hustling began on January 1st, and concluded this past weekend while I was away exploring the South Carolina sea island of Edisto (more on that to come soon!)
The new studio is gorgeous and light-filled in a building jam-packed with artists – sort of a dovecote of creative types. A very lovely place to be. Positively buzzing with heartbeats and brainwaves.
As for the blog? We should be back crackin’ and flappin’ any day now.
Love,
