A Day in the Special Exhibition: A TIME FOR EVERYTHING

The current special exhibition “A TIME FOR EVERYTHING. Rituals against Forgetting” is devoted to this programmatic focal point. After a guided tour of the exhibition by the curator Dr. Felicitas Heiman-Jelinek there will be three performances by the New York artist Quintan Ana Wikswo together with Alexx Shilling (choreography) and Arthur Kell (music).
Wikswo’s work is always a combination of film, poetry, dance, and live music related to specific places, and is carried out with her ensemble FIELDSHIFT FURTHER. In addition to the project SONDERBAUTEN that forms an integral part of the exhibition and deals with the former brothel in dachau concentration camp, she will be showing two new works: FOUR STRATEGIES FOR FILING, SIX NIGHTS IN IGNAZ GUNTHER HAUS, and CHARITE.
All four works focus on the intersections of desire, erotics, ecology, geopolitics with the Jewish female body in Germany.
To conclude, there will be a discussion with the artist about her work.
