4/22/14 Performance: with Lydia Lunch at Incubator Arts in NYC

April 15, 2014

Lydia Lunch / Quintan Ana Wikswo /A two-woman show with the iconic, legendary, cosmos-shattering, punk rock creatrix-extraordinaire Lydia Lunch at Incubator Arts, where we will be premiering new performance works around women, guts, guns, trauma, place, war, violence, bodies, rebellion, revulsion, and all the other viscera of humanity that cannot go undiscussed. We’re both working on sites of trauma, secrecy and abuses of power by the State…with a strong dose of autobiography and memoir. From the ghostly atrocity sites of the Spanish Civil War in Lydia’s Barcelona to the femicide killing fields of women in Quintan’s vision of the United States and its occupied Indian Nations, the performance is a personal and political statement of conscience and resistance to the nations in which we live, and the crimes committed in our names.

Original films, text, and performance by Lydia Lunch and Quintan Ana Wikswo
