On October 15 artist and writer Quintan Ana Wikswo will be lecturing in Colgate College’s Art and Art History Lecture Series. The artist talk will include an overview of three bodies of work – all about bodies and visions, fieldwork and the fantastic, as well as sharing several films, photographs, performance clips, and text work from new projects OUT HERE DEATH IS NO BIG DEAL and MERCY KILLING AKTION. There will be excerpts and notes from the desert work-in-progress on gender violence, from SONDERBAUTEN, which recently finished its exhibition tour at the Berlin Jewish Museum, and from the newest performance piece CALIFIA AND THE TRESPASSERS, which is currently on international tour following its Danish premiere in Copenhagen.
